WHAT IS SEMAGLUTIDE & TIRZEPAPATIDE

For instance, you cannot take any GLP-1s with another GLP-1 drug if you are already on one. Patients who also have the following are not good candidates for this medication:

• History or family history of Medullary Thyroid Carcinoma (MTC)

• Have an endocrine system condition called Multiple Endocrine Neoplasia syndrome type 2 (MEN 2)

• Type 1 Diabetes or Type 2 Diabetics already on GLP-1 medication

• Past History of Pancreatitis or Chronic Kidney Disease (unless medically cleared)

• Have had a serious allergic reaction to Semaglutide or Tirzepatide

• If you are trying to conceive, nursing, or already pregnant

These medications are taken as a once-weekly injection. It is available in a vial that can be drawn up with a tiny syringe that can be self-administered. A licensed healthcare professional may also assist the customer with weekly injections. The injection is given subcutaneously (fatty tissue under the skin) typically in the abdomen, thigh, or upper arm. In addition to taking these medications, it is important to make lifestyle changes to support weight loss. This may include eating a healthy diet, exercising regularly, getting enough sleep, and managing stress.
